How To - Create an Outlook Express Account

Applies to: SmarterMail 1.x and higher

In order the setup an email account in Outlook Express do the following:  

  1. Start Outlook Express
  2. Go to the Tools menu
  3. Click Accounts
  4. Click Add and then select Mail
    1. Add Your Display Name
    2. Click Next
    3. Add your email address
    4. Click Next
    5. Enter your Email-server Names
    6. POP3: mail.computercall.eu
    7. SMTP: mail.computercall.eu
    8. Enter your complete email address for Account Name
    9. Enter your Password (related to your SmarterMail account)
    10. Check the box for Remember Password
    11. Click Next and then Finish
  5. On the Internet Accounts dialog, Highlight the Mail account you just created and click Properties.
  6. On the General tab, set the Reply Address to be the same as your Email Address
  7. Click on the Server tab and check the box for My server require authentication
  8. Click the Settings (Make sure the radio button for “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is set.)
  9. Click OK
  10. Click Apply
  11. Click OK
